Elaine Rosenfeld
June 7, 1918 – September 19, 2009

A French Library Trustee from 1993 through 2005, and an active member as early as 1982, Mrs. Elaine Rosenfeld enthusiastically partook in much of what the Center had to offer. Accompanied by her husband Jerome, she would particularly enjoy the Bastille Day Street Dance, the Bal de l’Alliance, and the special “meet and greets” with French film directors.
Beyond her fondness for cultural events, Elaine was arguably most passionate about the library, in particular the audio-book collection, and in 2005, the Elaine Rosenfeld Bibliothèque Sonore was founded.
Words cannot fully express how grateful we are to have had Mrs. Rosenfeld as a friend, an advocate of our library, and a dear and devoted Trustee.
